Most building technology problems are easier, and cheaper, to fix on paper than on-site, says Direct Control’s managing director Gary Brophy. “Poor specification at design stage can cause years of headaches trying to manage systems that don’t talk to each other, and grappling with costs arising from energy inefficiencies and upgrades that could have been avoided entirely, “ says Gary.
