The development, located on Duck Road in Rotokauri, spans eight hectares and will eventually feature over 2000sqm of buildings across seven structures, including a 560sqm main house, a 386sqm residence, two smaller homes, two architectural sheds – one with a helipad and mezzanine – and a 190sqm pool house with a wine cellar. Currently in the earthworks stage, which is expected to take around three months, the site offers expansive views of the Hakarimata Range and Mount Pirongia. “The idea is we can bring clients through the show home development so they can see different styles and specifications from bespoke residential builds to complex architectural projects,” says Jonathan Quigley, managing director of Precision Built. Alongside the Rotokauri development, Precision Built has three other projects in the pipeline. Spring Manor Estate, in Glen Massey near Ngāruawāhia, is a 25-lot off-grid rural lifestyle development. Sections range from 5000sqm to eight hectares, with house-andland packages designed to feature large solar arrays and lithium-ion battery storage, eliminating power bills entirely. “I grew up in a basic form of off-grid in my teenage years, which I didn’t enjoy,” says Jonathan with a laugh. “But I saw how it could be improved upon as I got older. As a trial run we set up an offgrid house in one of our other developments and it functions perfectly. “That worked so well we decided to do something better for the environment, and with power bills rising it made sense to take this direction.” Another development is a two-hectare site in Tamahere, south of Hamilton, which will offer around 15 lots of approximately 600sqm each. These house-and-land packages will be designed to maintain a cohesive aesthetic, while allowing individual character across the development. Work on this site is likely to begin in 2027. Finally, the company has acquired 31 hectares on Lake Whakamaru, just outside Tokoroa. Rebranded as Paradise Point, the off-grid lakeside development will feature 66 lots, though resource consent is still a couple of years away. “It will be a fantastic lakeside living opportunity,” says Jonathan. “We take a long-term view when doing our strategic planning. The show home development and other developments will be 15 years of work, and we will be well positioned when the housing market does become buoyant again.” Owned by Jonathan and Tracey Quigley, Precision Built prides itself on delivering highquality, bespoke homes in the Waikato area. Jonathan says he loves being involved in the whole design and building process for clients, ensuring client relationships are strong and maintained throughout the build. Sustainability is a focus: “We make sure the home we build for each client is sustainable, with a range of high-quality, energy-efficient features,” says Jonathan. As Registered Master Builders, Precision Built combines the systems and reliability of a large company with the personalised attention of a small, hands-on team. Every project is tailored to the client’s requirements, with a holistic approach covering design, project management and construction. Jonathan says the company, of course, also undertakes bespoke builds for clients on their own land, and currently has the capacity to take on more projects. “We don’t build the same house twice,” he says. “We specialise in building unique, customdesigned homes for our clients. “So if anyone is looking to build we’d love to hear from them to see how we might help.” Beautiful Award-Winning Architecture LAD Architecture is proud to support Precision Built Ltd on one of the country's largest show home developments. lad.co.nz | 07 827 8510 NT Joinery is proud to support 92 Bruce Berquist Drive, Te Awamutu P: 07 871 6188 office@ntjoinery.co.nz www.ntjoinery.co.nz Proudly Supporting Precision Built Ltd 0800 PH DAMDOORS (0800 74 3263) | sales@damdoors.co.nz www.damdoors.co.nz | 118 Greenwood Street, Frankton, Hamilton
