ARCO Group REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Well-established project management and construction company ARCO Group has more than 30 years of experience backing up their impressive work. Delivering commercial builds on time and on budget is no small order; ARCO Group has built their name on it. The family-owned business maintains core values that underpin their operations. “We remain committed to delivering certainty, value, and trusted outcomes for our clients across a diverse range of projects,” says Director of Client Relations Gareth Prestidge. Headquartered in Whangarei, the company has projects spread across the upper North Island and offices in both Auckland and Hamilton. A talented in-house team brings together architects and designers, project managers and quantity surveyors, civil engineers, planners, and construction specialists, delivering seamless end-to-end, turn-key solutions for clients. This vertically-integrated approach has built a strong reputation for ARCO Group over the decades they have been in business. Their comprehensive design and build capability straddles commercial construction, education and healthcare, both public and private, and property development with allied property development company Greenstar Properties. Gareth also mentions that a priority for the business from the beginning has been to nurture long-term relationships. Often, this means delivering multiple projects to happy clients who come back for more. “That’s certainly been an important element to our long term strategy, with business relationships established with some clients spanning 20+ years. “They understand what we do well and choose us as future projects evolve.” Recently, ARCO Group has partnered with National Storage on a brand new storage facility in South Whangarei. This world class purpose-built facility will provide high-quality, secure self-storage to meet growing demand in the region. ARCO Group is also partnering with Tranzit Group to design and build a new electric bus depot in West Auckland. The project is a key part of a larger initiative to expand Auckland’s electric bus fleet and enhance the city’s public transport infrastructure, and will provide sustainable, modern and safe facilities for Tranzit’s team. This comes as Auckland Transport (AT) has delivered on its promise to provide commuters with a more efficient and environmentally friendly way to travel, launching its new fleet of 44 electric buses, including 26 double-deckers in April of this year. The company is delighted to be involved in this vital infrastructure development. Understanding the varied regulations and codes that govern construction for any given project allows ARCO Group to deliver on time and to a high level of quality. Having in-house oversight of each stage of the planning and build process also contributes to their solid track record in the commercial construction sector. The company’s aim is always to build efficiently, focussing on speed, cost, and programme certainty. Every unique project requires a tailored and informed approach, but all are viewed through this lens with priority placed on delivering the best possible outcomes for clients. As construction sectors begin to respond to a more favourable market, ARCO Group looks forward to more exciting partnerships and projects that shape the future of New Zealand.
