UniLodge Auckland Central, which was completed in 2025 and opened to students in 2026, was nominated in the 2026 Property Industry Awards in the Hawkins Multi Unit Residential Property Award category. The 758-bed development was a response to strong demand from students attending the University of Auckland, Auckland University of Technology and other tertiary providers, addressing a longstanding shortage of modern, professionally managed student accommodation in the city. Cedar Pacific’s goal of creating an environment that supported academic achievement while fostering connection, wellbeing and a sense of community is reflected throughout the development, with an extensive range of resident amenities. Sustainability was another important consideration; UniLodge Auckland Central achieved a 5-Star Green Star NZ Design Rating, alongside requirements for LED lighting, water-efficient fixtures, low-emission materials and fit-out and waste management, ensuring that the building performs well environmentally, as well as commercially. The successful delivery of a project of this scale required close collaboration between Cedar Pacific and its project partners, including Ashton Mitchell, Icon, McConnell Property Limited and UniLodge.
