Kelly Deeks Christchurch-based mobile diesel service and repair business Ridge Mechanical is giving Canterbury farmers and contractors an independent alternative to traditional dealer servicing with a focus on better service, stronger relationships, and more competitive pricing. Managing director Matt Loveridge says Ridge Mechanical’s point of difference is simple. “This business is driven by passion, personal service, and a commitment to solving customers’ problems quickly and efficiently,” he says. “We’re not a big dealership where customers are just another job number. This is my own business, and we’re passionate about what we do. Our customers get better service and better value for money, and we take the time to build a genuine relationship with them.” Matt grew up on the West Coast and spent his early career in the mining industry where he completed a fitters apprenticeship, then moved into agriculture completing his heavy diesel apprenticeship with Drummond & Etheridge.
