Dave says although meth decontamination once made up a significant portion of the workload, regulatory changes have seen demand reduce. He says that today, the company’s fastest-growing areas are mould remediation and flood restoration, driven increasingly by modern building trends. “Newer homes built to be airtight and energy-efficient can inadvertently trap moisture, creating conditions ideal for mould growth. “Older homes, by comparison, often benefit from natural ventilation.” Recent major weather events have highlighted the capability and scale of the Pure Services team. During the Dunedin floods in October 2024, the company attended more than 130 jobs across the city. The Auckland floods of February 2023 saw the team handle over 1000 flood-related jobs – a massive logistical operation that underscored their national strength and responsiveness. Pure Services has also launched its own mould-remediation product line under the Pure Mould Solutions brand.
