The exterior is a balanced blend of light and dark colours, so we echoed those tones with overhead cabinetry that feels organic and calming. It’s a space that makes you feel instantly impressed when you walk in.” Functional details have been designed with equal care. The study, for instance, features layered window treatments that allow both filtered natural light and full blackout options. “This interior is all about balancing function and form,” she says. “Everything has a purpose, but it still feels beautiful.” Because the clients are overseas, Eco Workshop’s 3D rendering capability has been invaluable. “We went through about eight concept iterations,” Sarah says. “Edie’s renders are photorealistic so that the clients could see exactly how each room would look before construction began. That level of transparency means there are no surprises later – we make sure every detail is clear from the start.” Sarah says Eco Workshop’s design philosophy centres on liveable architecture – spaces that elevate daily life while respecting their environment. “Good design is not just about how something looks, but how it works. We want our clients to feel connected to their homes, to the landscape, and to each other.” As the build progresses towards completion next year, both Eco Workshop and SB2 Build are proud of what the project represents: a sophisticated, energy-efficient, and meticulously detailed home that showcases the strength of local collaboration.
