| 29 Stuart Drummond Transport celebrated 40 years in business last year. Long-serving drivers recognised at the function, included Gavin Russ, below, who has chalked up 20 years. Stuart Drummond Transport REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Alongside the operational scale-up, the company has continued to invest in safety and continuous improvement, achieving two major milestones in the past year. Stuart Drummond Transport received a 5-Star Contractor Certification under the Log Transport Safety Council audit programme and achieved Gold Accreditation under the ACC Fleet Saver programme. “Those outcomes are a reflection of how our people operate day-to-day,” Harry says. “It’s about consistency, accountability, and always looking for ways to do things better.” That focus on people is also reflected in staff retention, with four long-service milestones recognised during the company’s 40th year. One driver marked 20 years’ service, while three others reached 10 years. “In an industry where turnover can be high, that length of service says a lot,” Harry says. “It speaks to the environment that’s been created and the pride our people take in what they do.” Managing Director Brodie Drummond says the family business was built on people, resilience and a strong work ethic. Established in 1985 when his father bought his first truck, Brodie says the early years left a lasting impression. “As a kid, I was always around the yard,” he says. “You saw the long hours, the commitment, and the responsibility that came with running a small transport business.” After spending time driving himself, Brodie moved into the office 18 years ago and has been closely involved in the company’s growth since. “What’s stayed constant is the importance of the people,” he says. “The business has grown, the scale has changed, but it’s still about backing good people, giving them the right support, and creating an environment they want to stay in.” Brodie says the close relationships with staff, contractors, and local partners have been critical to the company’s longevity. “At the end of the day, trucks don’t move themselves,” he says. “It’s the people behind the scenes and behind the wheel that make it all work.” Proudly working with Stuart Drummond Transport Proudly Supporting Stuart Drummond Transport TRUCK PARTS
