Established by licensed building practitioner Jordan Stewart, the Invercargill-based business has quickly built a reputation for craftsmanship, problem-solving and a strong focus on delivering exceptional results. With more than a decade of building experience and membership in New Zealand Certified Builders, Jordan brings significant expertise to every project, supported by a small, highly skilled team that shares the same vision for excellence. “It all started when my father-in-law said, ‘We need a builder for our house and looks like you’re going to do it’,” explains Jordan. That first contract became the catalyst for launching the company, which now employs five staff and tackles new-home builds, renovations, extensions, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, subdivisions and commercial, industrial and educational projects. Jordan’s partner, Charlotte Frampton, also plays a key role in the business, providing administrative support and driving its social media presence, promoting its work and services across the region. Jordan says a focus on bespoke carpentry sets the company apart, along with its willingness to take on projects both locally and further afield. “We focus on quality over quantity and a lot of pride and passion goes into our work,” he says. The company’s two current major jobs demonstrate precisely what it is capable of achieving for clients seeking something special. One of those projects is a three-storey duplex currently under construction in Queenstown for Invercargill clients. The 335sqm architectural build, designed by Fat Hippo Design, sits on the side of a steep hill and has required months of groundwork to carve through schist rock before construction could begin. The two-unit build comprises two, three-bedroom homes, each incorporating a self-contained unit on the lower level with a separate entrance, offering the option for short-term rental income. The first and second floors house internal-access double garages, living areas, kitchens, and ensuited bedrooms, while the top storey features two additional bedrooms with ensuites, one including a shower. Externally, the home is an intricate blend of materials: vertical shiplap cedar, horizontal cedar weatherboards with vertical battens, Stria fibre cement panels, long-run Colorsteel and masonry-rendered cement block.
