In 2016 the company welcomed Ngāi Tahu as a 50% shareholder, a move that not only brought substantial capital investment, but also reflected shared values around long-term regional stewardship and cultural alignment. The remaining 50% ownership lies with past and present employees, reinforcing a deep sense of continuity, commitment, and pride within the business, Scott says.
