While the current brand was established in 2011, the company’s roots trace back to 2001, when it first began operating under a different name. Owner and director Paul Horrell, a fifth- generation contractor, has steered the firm through significant growth in team size, fleet, and technical capability. Today, the business - which has home bases in both Cromwell and Queenstown - operates across Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes, delivering complex earthworks, drainage, and roading projects. When reflecting on the company’s history, Paul points to several projects that defined their technical development. A major highlight was the Lakes Edge development near Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, a project completed a decade ago that earned them a Hynds Construction award. The $12-million-dollar project required Paul and the team to operate in a highly sensitive, high-profile environment.
