The company has proprietary software which can quickly create a 3D plan of any industrial site and determine the physical safety systems required. Tru-Bilt offers a consultancy service in which workplace safety needs can be assessed and solutions recommended. “By removing previous layers between manufacturer and end user in New Zealand we are giving customers direct access to technical expertise, faster decision making and a clearer feedback loop for product development and innovation. When it comes to workplace safety, one size doesn’t always fit all. “That’s why we offer tailored solutions designed to suit a site, its hazards, and the customer’s brand. “Whether it’s colour matching, modifying an existing product to better fit a layout, or designing something entirely new for a unique risk area, our team is here to help. “Our in-house team can support customers with expert advice, on-site assessments, custom engineering reports and practical recommendations to help customers choose the right solution. Because when it comes to safety, the right fit matters.” From its beginnings in Dunedin in 1993, Tru-Bilt has grown into a specialist manufacturer of workplace safety systems with a large product range, expanding into Australia in 2001 and investing heavily in CNC machinery, automation and certified product development. Tru-Gard systems are now widely used across freight terminals, warehouses, manufacturing plants and public spaces where vehicle and pedestrian interaction create ongoing risk. The product range includes modular barrier systems, steel bollards, handrail systems, column and downpipe protection, pallet racking protection, wheel stops and guides, gates and expanding barriers, as well as driver protection zone kits and a full suite of components and accessories. Typical customers include logistics operators, construction sites, manufacturing facilities and infrastructure projects. All products are designed, manufactured and installed in-house in Dunedin, giving it full control over quality, lead times and innovation. “Environmental responsibility is embedded in everything we do, from material selection through to packaging and waste reduction,” says Mark. “We use recyclable steel, locally sourced timber pallets and cardboard packaging wherever possible, and our in-house powder coating helps reduce emissions and improve efficiency.” He says continuous improvement is a focus as well as staying true to its driving principle. “Keeping people safe is our top priority, and our mission is simple — to save lives. “If we can prevent just one accident or one loss of life we know we’ve done our job. “That’s why we’re always looking ahead: refining our skills, evolving our products and improving our systems to deliver smarter, safer solutions to our customers every time.”
