The business will launch its own branded retail range in supermarkets from January 2027, bringing a new focus to a company that has spent decades supplying vegetables and potato products behind the scenes. Season’s Best chief executive, Steve Koekemoer, says the move is about building awareness of a New Zealand-owned business that has long been part of the country’s food-supply chain. “When you talk about vegetable processing in New Zealand, people often think of the international brands, but they do not necessarily realise there is a significant vegetable business here in Ashburton that has been operating since the 1970s.” The company’s Ashburton operation processes a wide range of vegetables and potato products, with all produce grown in New Zealand. Steve says that local connection is central to the Season’s Best story.
