Introducing the Tāmaki Makaurau. Pacific Wardens Charitable Trust Strengthening Safer Communities Through Pacific Leadership Talofa lava, warm Pacific greetings, and hello, My name is Tanya Zombos, and I am honoured to serve as the General Manager of the Tāmaki Makaurau Pacific Wardens Charitable Trust. The Tāmaki Makaurau Pacific Wardens Trust exists to help strengthen safer communities across Aotearoa through Pacific-led governance, collective leadership, and service grounded in Pacific values. Our vision is to contribute to a united network of Pacific Warden and Pacific Patrol organisations that work together to uplift and protect our communities. In West Auckland, we are focused on building strong local relationships and creating meaningful opportunities for community connection, youth engagement, neighbourhood support, beautification initiatives, and positive community presence. We believe that safer communities are built through collaboration, cultural understanding, visible leadership, and genuine care for people. Our mission is to lead, connect, and support Pacific Wardens and Pacific Patrol groups through strong governance, shared standards, advocacy, leadership development, and capacity building — enabling local groups to safely serve their communities while remaining connected to a wider collective movement across Aotearoa. As we continue to grow, we look forward to partnering with local organisations, churches, schools, businesses, and community leaders who share the same heart for collective wellbeing and positive change. Together, we can strengthen safer communities through Pacific-led leadership, service, and unity. Collective Leadership. Pacific Values. Safer Communities.
