Hospice West Auckland offers free specialist end-of-life care for West Aucklanders and wrap around kindness for loved ones during a tough time. Since we began, forty years ago, we continue to rely on our community’s support. Our holistic approach cares for the physical, practical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients, whānau and carers. We provide comfort, dignity and ongoing support for hundreds of West Aucklanders needing our services every year. Our community is diverse. We leave no stone unturned. Through education, we partner with community providers to enhance quality of care and ensure fair access for all. Contrary to popular belief, the majority of our patients choose to spend their final days at home. We do our very best to honour their wish. Our He Whare Korowai “home from home” facility is simply there to give patients and families added peace of mind offering seamless respite opportunities and a chance to address complex needs if home is not an option.
