The move builds on the legacy of Paddy, who spent 45 years developing the operation and its loyal client base before Stu purchased the business three years ago. Originally from the UK, Stu first arrived in New Zealand as a seasonal worker. With a background in spraying both in Britain and on South Island dairy farms, he brings a decade of hands-on experience to the role. Before taking over the business, he spent two years working with Paddy to learn the operation inside out and build relationships with farmers. “Those two years were invaluable,” Stu says. “I got to understand the business, the clients, and how Paddy built trust over decades. That’s the foundation we still operate on today.” Stu says those early lessons remain the backbone of how Fogarty Spraying operates.
