When it comes to reliable water solutions, Davey Water Products continues to deliver innovative products backed by strong industry partnerships - such as their long-standing relationship with Nind Dairy Services. The relationship between the two companies stretches back many years and was only strengthened by Waterco’s acquisition of Davey Water Products back in 2023. Today, Nind is recognised as a Premium Master Dealer for Davey Water Products, having previously been awarded the prestigious Master Dealer of the Year title. This year’s Davey/Waterco Master Dealers Conference highlighted not only the strength of the partnership, but also the success of one of the company’s newest innovations - the Davey EvoDrive constant pressure pump system. Described by Davey as the ultimate “lifestyle pump”, the EvoDrive is taking the New Zealand market by storm. Davey Water Products national sales manager Ross Simpson says the pump was purpose-built to solve the key challenges faced by both homeowners and installers. “We did a ton of research and development, and we’ve nailed it,” Ross says. “We made sure every nut and bolt was turned to ensure it wasn’t rushed to market. It was so important to get everything right.” The EvoDrive is designed to deliver constant, quiet water pressure, regardless of demand in the home. Whether it’s multiple showers running at once, the dishwasher operating or the garden hose on outside, the pump maintains steady performance without the noise traditionally associated with household pressure pumps. For homeowners, that means improved comfort, a more user-friendly experience and lower power consumption thanks to the variable speed drive, which makes the EvoDrive signi cantly more energy e cient than traditional single-speed pumps. “It lls a really good space in the market,” Ross says. “It’s green, e cient and very cost competitive.” The response from installers has been equally strong. Designed as a true plug-and-play solution, the EvoDrive includes an in-built pressure tank, reducing pipework and making installation faster and simpler for tradies. Its exibility across both low and high-pressure applications means installers can carry one in the van and quickly replace an existing unit when customers need water restored. “We’ve had some fantastic feedback from our Master Dealers about how good this pump is,” Ross says. “One dealer has installed 30 since Christmas alone. “The product has been on the market for six months now and any sales forecasts we made have been blown out of the water.” Ross says Nind Dairy Services has played a signi cant role in supporting and promoting Davey products throughout the Southland region, including the EvoDrive. “Nind is very innovative,” he says. “They drive new products, and they’ve built a great o ering in Invercargill, with highly skilled sta . We’re more than happy to send any water treatment or dairy clients to Nind because we know customers will get the experience they deserve.” Ross says Nind’s reliability and quick response times continue to strengthen the partnership. “Nind is a top dealer, and we’ll support them wholeheartedly in all that they do,” he says. With the EvoDrive exceeding sales forecasts already, Waterco and Davey Water Products are con dent the pump will continue to gain momentum across New Zealand households and rural properties alike. Efficient water solutions By bringing more services in-house, the company has streamlined projects while maintaining tighter quality control and efficiency across every job. Headquartered in Invercargill, with satellite offices in Winton and Balclutha, Nind Dairy Services now operates across four specialist divisions - electrical, plumbing, engineering and automation. Together, those divisions allow the team to tackle almost every component of a dairy shed project, with building the only trade typically brought in externally. “It helps having the four divisions in one,” Nigel says. “There’s nothing we can’t do.” These days, much of Nind’s workload centres on repairs, maintenance and targeted upgrades, including shed renovations, effluent system improvements, cup remover installations and cow collar technology. Among the standout projects currently underway are Tony Hartley’s 64-bail rotary dairy and Ivan Roulston’s 60-bail rotary dairy, alongside numerous herringbone upgrades, PPP grain systems and a growing number of MSD SensorHub drafting gate and cow collar installations. The company has also expanded into solar projects as more farmers look for ways to improve efficiency and sustainability on farm. Strong industry partnerships continue to play a major role in the business’s success. Nind Dairy Services is a premium master dealer for Davey Water Products and is New Zealand’s largest Davey dealer. Nind also works closely with MSD Animal Health SensorHub, GEA, and HALO. “We have a client base that expects the best and to be taken on a journey from start to finish,” Nigel says. “This only happens with a team that has highlevel expertise and dedication. “We have a workforce that loves a challenge; we don’t just stay in our lane. We have a lot of smart cookies in our ranks.”
