| 61 LIFESTYLE Summerset Group Holdings: Waikanae Since Summerset Waikanae welcomed its first residents, the village has grown rapidly. “These new designs tie back into our sustainability commitment, as we have moved away from concrete to more sustainable mass timber construction using engineered wood panel product. The look is very contemporary. “New homes at Summerset Waikanae are selling fast. If you’re thinking of retiring here, we recommend registering your interest and coming to have a look.” Paul notes that Summerset Waikanae’s new serviced apartments have also been sparking plenty of interest over recent months. Two show apartments are available for viewing on request. These spacious modern apartments offer generous double bedrooms with ensuites and separate living areas with kitchenettes, and are designed for independent living backed by professional, friendly care. Summerset’s commitment to continuum of care is reflected in the broad range of options developed for the village, including the modern care centre for residents needing hospital-level care. The memory care centre has been designed to provide quality dementia care in a safe and homely environment.
