128 | Aurora leads growth in Peacocke A mix of traditional sections, duplexes and terraced housing will cater to a wide range of households. T T from page126 DEVELOPMENT Jones Group PROUDLY SUPPORTING JONES GROUP Tristan says that buyers have been drawn to Aurora’s elevated outlook, consistent design quality and the long-term amenity planned both within the neighbourhood and the wider Peacocke area. The master plan incorporates more than four hectares of open space, extensive landscaping, strong walking and cycling connections and a planned neighbourhood centre, features that together are helping to establish a connected and appealing new community. “It comes down to delivering the type of product people are seeking,” says Tristan. “Well-built homes, ready to move into, in a location that offers long-term value - that is what people want, and that is what is driving the results here.” Plans for the neighbourhood centre are progressing. Positioned alongside a playground, pedestrian bridge and key walking routes, the centre will serve as a hub for residents and the surrounding community. It is expected to open alongside the completion of the new east-west arterial road by late 2026 or early 2027, with Northview now engaging prospective tenants and partners. Northview has worked alongside Hamilton City Council over the past three to four years to coordinate key infrastructure, ensuring the development aligns with the city’s significant investment in the Peacocke area. With major services now either completed or under construction, homes are being delivered and people are moving into Aurora as the benefits of these investments take shape, says Tristan. “Council has been supportive and those investment decisions are now resulting in homes being delivered. It is exciting to see the community start to take shape. And we are only at the start of the journey.”
