| 47 T T Virginia Wright Plans coming to life in Swanson With a combination of cedar, brick, weatherboard and metal cladding, the two-storey terrace houses are built for warmth and comfort. Cube Construction DEVELOPMENT Vines Estate in Swanson, once home of the Yozin Vineyard, is an extensive development designed from the beginning with community in mind and catering for all family types. Complete with green spaces, open walkways and community amenities, it is within easy reach of Highways 16 and 18, and an eight-minute walk from the Swanson Train Station, or in other words, within easy reach of Auckland’s downtown as well as the North Shore. Designed with a master plan by the socially conscious development firm Gemscott Developments., it is already up to stage 5 of its eight stages. Two blocks of five terrace houses and a block of 15 walk-up apartments were recently completed, under the close supervision of operations manager Jay Jon from Cube Construction. “The civil works for the development started back in 2022, and by the time we started stage 4 in February 2024, all the roading, power and water were done,” Jay says. “We’d just finished a 49-unit development of mixed walk-up and duplex units by Gemscott for Kainga Ora in Huntington Park before we came over here.” The development draws on long-standing partnerships with companies providing the expertise and experience needed to take a large tract of land and turn it into a comfortable and desirable place to live for anyone looking to own their own home, including first-home buyers: a network of consultants from geotech engineers to landscape architects, drainlayers to roading experts, all working together to achieve reliable and enduring solutions efficiently, on time and on budget. Then it’s up to Cube Construction to turn the meticulously designed plans into a mix of two-to four-bedroom homes, making the most of the beautifully laid-out and planted laneways and shared gardens that connect them. With a combination of cedar, brick, weatherboard and metal cladding, the contemporary two-storey terrace houses are built for warmth and comfort. Open-plan kitchen, dining and living on the ground floor opens out to a private deck. Upstairs, there are two or three bedrooms, a family bathroom and a second toilet. The 15 apartments, each with abalcony looking over the Redwood golf course, are a mix of self-contained and dual key. “Six of the two-bedroom apartments are dual key, so two separate doors go off the main entrance. “The purchaser can move their family in, and also have a separate one-bedroom studio to rent out, for example. They’re all in one title, so the 15 apartments are really 21,” explains Jay. “With stages 6 and 7 concentrating on terrace houses, and stage 8 devoted solely to walk-up apartments, there’s room for a lot more families to join the growing community in Swanson’s Vines Estate and make the most of everything it has to offer.” Residential | Commercial | Heat Pump New builds | Renovation | Maintenance info@onelectrical.co.nz Jonny 021 048 3008 | Terry 022 632 0052 We'll turn you ON
