Watco not only specialise in commercial/industrial plumbing and infrastructure work for bigger enterprises but, as Mike says, “we enjoy doing the more complex jobs with a bit of a challenge. We are also passionate about giving back to the industry by training apprentices, ensuring that our skills and values are passed on to the next generation.” As licensed Whangarei District Council contractors, Watco were responsible for the installation and connection of DC Group’s Port Nikau potable water system to the city’s live network. They were also responsible for installing the extensive low pressure wastewater system to the development. “We’re a plumbing company with a di erence. Our core passion is the large commercial industrial plumbing jobs, from working with large scale corporates to civil and city maintenance providers, but we also enjoy providing plumbing maintenance services to Whangarei’s residential houses,” says Mike. Part of that maintenance is leak detection. “Finding the source of someone’s huge water bill, repairing it where possible and replacing it when necessary,” says Senior Project Manager Anthony Green.
