Honda is preparing to release a new range of side by sides later this year, which Jeremy expects will be well received by customers. “There is some technology coming that will really please our customers,” he says. “They will have more control through speed limiters, a new cab design, and better accessories. The engineering base is still there, and that is what Honda’s reputation has been built on.” Motorcycles remain an important part of the business, with Honda continuing to introduce new technology across its road and farm bike ranges. Jeremy says Honda’s new E Clutch system will make riding easier for a wider group of users. “It is going to be a game changer, especially for people who are new to riding.” Portable power is another growing category, with generators and battery powered outdoor equipment proving popular on farms and lifestyle blocks. “We are starting to see good innovation there too. Honda is always improving on every aspect, and we are lucky to be involved with them.” Jeremy says one of the dealership’s greatest strengths remains its people. There are 13 staff, with three including Jeremy having more than 20 years with the company. One of Southland Honda’s greatest strengths remains its people. “We have a great team culture and great morale. Our people are good people and they are good at their jobs.” As Southland Honda moves into its next generation of family ownership, Jeremy says the focus will stay simple. “Keep doing the right thing by people, keep supporting farmers, and keep providing products we believe in.” RURAL SERVICES » Southland Honda Motorcycles
