VEPO is strengthening its presence across Taranaki with expanded regional coverage and specialist expertise in wastewater systems. Owner Jono Whitley started the business in 2015 after working as a one man band. The business has grown to a team of 14 full time staff, with well over 100 years experience within the senior management team. VEPO has offices and workshops in New Plymouth and Hawera and a recently refurbished showroom in Stratford. This allows VEPO to service the Taranaki region from Mokau to Waverley, whilst minimising travel costs for clients. VEPO has become specialised in wastewater systems for rural properties. Starting from engineered designs, council documentation, installation, and ongoing annual servicing plans. Working closely with WaterFlow NZ, VEPO is Taranaki’s accredited installer. The business relationship between WaterFlow NZ and VEPO ensures compliant systems are developed for individual sites. Jono says the partnership gives customers one point of contact rather than requiring them to coordinate the plumber, engineer, installer, and service providers themselves. ‘’Wastewater is a mystery to most people’’, he says. ‘’We can take them right through a streamlined process to make it simple for our customers’’’. “No job is ever too big or small, and our team ensures a positive experience is always passed down to our clients.” The same focus on simplicity is behind VEPOs recently remodelled showroom in Stratford, which has been designed to make bathroom decisions easier. Rather than presenting customers with an overwhelming amount of options for bathroom fixtures, the showroom features three complete bathroom setups, which showcase lower, mid, and higher price point options. The designs are fully fitted out with flooring and feature walls, allowing customers to visualise them in a real setting. Client feedback on the showroom has been extremely positive. ”Making new bathroom selections should be an exciting part of the project, but being overwhelmed with options and not knowing the end cost can be daunting,” Josh says. “Our new showroom design allows for transparency from the quotation stage of a job, with the visual aspect allowing our customers to envision the end result.” The showroom is also useful for builders and other trades VEPO works with, streamlining their projects and creating ease for their clients, as well as minimising risk as the ordering and supply is fully taken care of by VEPO.
