Director of Haus Projects, Matt Poninghaus says the 30 Logan Street development represents a significant milestone for the company, which had previously focused on construction management and project delivery. The two-storey building, with 1500sqm of gross floor area, began construction in April and is due for completion on November 30. “This would typically be a 12 to14 month project, which we’re doing in nine months, and we are currently ahead of schedule through efficient project management and a skilled local workforce,” says Matt. “The team, including local tradies and subcontractors, has been exceptionally hard working.” att says the project showcases the integrated approach that sets Haus Projects apart in the development sector. As such, Randy says, the work is very satisfying. His patch extends across the Bay of Plenty, the wider Tauranga area, Waihi, Matamata, and Pukehina, as well as Rotorua and Ngongataha. “We undertake a lot of work in Rotorua, so we cover a large geography and variety of project sizes.” Recently, he has had a number of projects on his home soil in Mt Maunganui and Tauranga – for the most part renovations to kitchens and bathrooms, though Randy stresses that MTP-Tauranga will take on work in any part of the home.
