Rangitahi Ltd DEVELOPMENT Stage 5 of the Rangitahi Project, known as The Landing, has just been released and features a range of sections, ranging from 380sqm sections to larger, 800sqm lifestyle lots, with many boasting stunning views across the peaceful harbour estuary. Located near Raglan, The Rangitahi Project, a 120-ha housing development, is being developed by Rangitahi Ltd, a family-run company owned by the Peacocke family. The team works from the newly built office at the centre of Rangitahi Peninsula. “We encourage variety in the area, with buyers designing their own house plans. We have waterfront high-end sections down to smaller, standard-size sections for the first-home buyer. The peninsula is divided into seven distinct precincts, thoughtfully planned to blend with the natural surroundings. A network of walking trails has been created, offering residents access to both native bush and water views. The urban landscape design for stage 1 was designed by Boffa Miskell, with the same style to be continued throughout each stage. Rangitahi Ltd built the award-winning, two-lane Rangitahi Bridge with a shared cycle path for improved access to the peninsula, replacing the old wooden walk bridge. Community fruit trees have been dotted around the peninsula, including a table-grape vineyard, fig and apple grove, an avocado orchard, and olive grove. There is also a centrally located café called The Hut. Community recreational facilities have been planned to include a tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool and a playground. There will also be small and large commercial spaces developed, including a new café and a childcare facility. “Our location is what makes this development unique,” says Hilary. “Rangitahi Peninsula is surrounded by water; we’re close to the beaches, Raglan town centre, the golf club and school. It’s an area where people can build their dream home. We have design guidelines to ensure that sustainable, healthy well-designed homes are built in the development to a high standard.” Custom home builders, Signature Homes, G.J. Gardner and Nixon Homes have bought large blocks in the development. Other home building companies also involved in the project include Urban Homes, ResiBuilt, and Hoult Construction and others. “Every home is completely unique and built for the section. This really sets us apart from other developments,” says Hilary. The Rangitahi Project is being sold in seven stages, with The Hideaway – a new urban lifestyle precinct featuring 20 lots – the next release. The first seven lots are now available for pre-sale, ranging in size from 800sqm to 5500sqm, and priced from $575,000. Following The Hideaway, the Rangitahi team will move south to sell and build The Stables and The Knoll – the final stages of the development.
