BUILDING A-Line Modern methods of construction are transforming how projects are delivered across New Zealand, and A-Line is leading the way. A-Line delivers fully modular solutions, built entirely off-site, as well as hybrid projects that combine modular manufacturing with traditional on-site construction. This flexibility allows them to speed up delivery, improve quality and cost certainty, and minimise disruption for their clients and the communities they serve. An example is at the new Papakura courthouse. A-Line is delivering modular units that are being integrated with Southbase’s on-site construction of the main atrium. This hybrid approach combines off-site modular construction with on-site traditional building, accelerating the overall project timeline, while keeping quality high and supporting on-schedule, on-budget delivery. Founded in 1993 by Bevan Abercrombie, A-Line has built a reputation as a trusted name in New Zealand’s commercial and modular industries. With over 30 years’ experience and a team bringing together more than 450 years of combined construction expertise, A-Line delivers projects across education, health, government and various commercial sectors. A dedicated modular division, established in 2016, has already completed a diverse range of residential, industrial and educational builds. A-Line adapts to the needs of each project. This can include full turnkey delivery, from design through to landscaping, or supply-only solutions, collaborating closely with tier 1 and tier 2 construction companies to achieve the best outcomes. “We specialise in bespoke modular solutions, adapting to each client’s unique design requirements,” says business development manager Samuel Abercrombie. “Our commercial experience in modular construction means we understand projects holistically, from concept through to delivery. With our in-house design team, we can tailor every element to ensure the solution fits seamlessly with the client’s vision and project needs.” A standout example of A-Line’s approach is Whenuapai School, one of Auckland’s fastest-built greenfield schools in 20 years. The project included 14 classrooms, three amenities blocks, administration, library, and special needs blocks, and a caretaker’s shed – a total of 1832sqm of modular infrastructure delivered in just 13 months across three stages to minimise disruption. Completing stage 1 allowed the school to open while the remaining stages were still under construction. “Delivering stage 1 on schedule was essential,” says Samuel. “Wet weather delayed site works and building deliveries, shortening the time for on-site completion. By allocating additional resources and working closely with our subcontractor team, we completed stage 1 ahead of schedule, ready for term 1, 2024.” The project’s success has been recognised with a Property Council New Zealand Awards finalist nomination in the Education Property category. www.airzone.co.nz HVAC S P EC I AL I ST S Proudly supporting A-Line sales@shadesystems.co.nz www.shadesystems.co.nz For all your reliable building removal services around Auckland and North Island Over 30 years of experience • Dedicated Staff • NZ Owned and operated House Moving | Site Shifts | Buying and Selling Houses | Pre-built Building Removals 09 836 6593 | 027 254 5302 sales@easymoves.co.nz Proudly Supporting A-Line
